It’s funny how our perspectives change when we have kids.
Not too many years ago, I dreamt of Valentine’s Days filled with fancy dresses, swanky restaurants, bouquets of flowers and boxes of bling.
I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with any of those things (it’s important to get that out there, I think my husband might actually read my blog from time to time!), but all those sparkly things have certainly lost some of their shimmer.
Today, my three-year-old came home from preschool, unzipped her princess backpack, and proudly pulled out the very best valentine I’ve ever received.
Here it is…
I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of this tiny hand print stuff! I get so excited when she comes home from school with paint-stained fingers because I know there’s a possibility I might end up with something like this.
I have a feeling this is one valentine that will grace my shelves well into spring (at least).
So spill it, what’s the best valentine you ever received?

The card Katie sent to me is by far one of the best I’ve ever received!
How cute!! I have a tote full of those cute things and now papers from Elementary school!! ENJOY it Whitney, they grow up toooooooo fast!!!
Frame it and hang it in her room when your done displaying in another room. So sweet and cute and you’ll be able to enjoy it for many years. Even pull it out at high school graduation.
That’s a great idea! I planned on saving it, of course, but never thought to frame it. I love that idea!
